My.Vidahost / Forum Link

You now only need one login to use the forums and My.Vidahost.

This is currently in progress, but the general gist works. To link the two together, log into your my.vidahost.com account and then click the 'Forums Account' link on the right.

I'll be posting updates here as we update this further. The idea is to not need a forums login at all, but to just be able to login with the My.Vida user and pass.

Which password has preference because my login for my Vidahost is random letters and numbers but my forum password is pretty easy to remember.

The My.Vidahost password takes preference.

You can change that password though through my.vida!

Hold up though - I think we've recently discovered a bug. It still works (i.e. links the two accounts), but sometimes the loginshare plays up a bit and you need to login twice!

I'm using Opera but I also use keep me logged in and I haven't been asked to re-enter my password yet, is that ok?

Excellent

We talked to the creator of the software and there's a slight bug which interferes with the cookies/login session when the My.Vidahost and forum are on different domains, as they are in our case - they should have it fixed soon for those who are affected.

Apart from that though we hope it's pretty neat and works well - My.Vidahost is now the only login you really need, unlike so many companies which give you all sorts of different logins! (Though knowing the cPanel details of course helps too - but those can also be managed through My.Vidahost)
