I don't believe the pace of today will keep up but you never know - it's taken some time to send out all the e-mails and I think those who main sit in front of a PC have a headstart. As long as the minority of users don't have the majority of posts (ie, spam) the competition should be reasonably fair. The probability of the TV going to one of the minority users is almost certainly higher than it going to one of the top couple of posters. Additionally the competition is being run over ~40 days which gives time for some organic growth and whatnot.

To those who perhaps intend on spamming beware - we will be on the lookout

The TV essentially acts as a catalyst, because you otherwise need posts for others to make posts so it's a catch 22 - I know we have lots and lots of clients happy to hear about forums, and with a prod people seem to be signing up....we also have many businesses and non-technical clients but hopefully can persuade them to join in too!

Sounds good Dominic, but there are already a lot of random threads cropping up...the general section is going to be full of 'What is your favourite...' or 'If you had the chance to spend a day with a celebrity...' kind of posts.
Still, very good for you to offer it. I am just amazed how hard you guys work, do you ever get a break?

Mind you those sorts of posts may encourage visitors to sign up, join in, post hosting/website questions, etc.

We do indeed get breaks, I saw Star Trek this afternoon and it was fantastic. Couple of interruptions for business but that's ok
