Which version do you install was it Build 7100 or 7127? Also was it the x86 or x64 version?

x86 but not sure what build. I downloaded it today off the MS site though - so whichever one is on there. Its gone onto my spare 17" Asus A7J, 1.83 Dual Core, 1gb ram and going nicely.

Just to confirm it is build 7100. Have only had one BOD so far but I was trying to force an old driver on it.

What hardware was the driver for and what OS was it designed for. Also have you found a correct driver?

It was a driver for the built in webcam. Could only find a x86 vista version but didnt work. All the other drivers I have installed have also been for Vista but worked fine. Only a minor thing - can live without it

Sounds stupid but did windows update not find it? My brother has a dell laptop with a built in webcam and windows update found it straight away.

Also what computer is it or what is the webcam make/model?

I dont understand why MS are still offering build 7100 when we are onto 7127 so far.....and 7127 is much more stable and much faster than 7100.........weird.
